Boat On Course
Boat On Course, FREE educational boating safety videos from the NSBC in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard, teach the basic navigation rules of boating. Boaters may watch at their own pace and test their knowledge at the end of each video with a short quiz. This campaign has reached millions of boaters around the nation with important safety reminders, such as responsible operation, overtaking, crossing, sound signals, navigation lights, courtesy on the water, and more. Boat On Course received an award of excellence in the nonprofit campaign category during the 29th Annual Communicator Awards.
Safe Boating Campaign
The NSBC’s Safe Boating Campaign is an international effort that educates the boating community about the importance of responsible boating, with the key message to always wear a life jacket while boating. It is funded under a grant from the Sports Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund and administered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The Safe Boating Campaign secured three Communicator Awards recognizing the NSBC’s strategic approach of sharing the fun boating lifestyle while highlighting the safety gear needed for a safe day on the water.
