Request for Proposals: Advertising

Background

Since 1958, the National Safe Boating Council, Inc. (NSBC) has been a national catalyst for creating a safe boating culture by providing educational resources, outreach programs, and training opportunities for industry partners and the boating community to influence safe, secure, and responsible boating. As a national nonprofit 50l(c)(3) public service organization, the NSBC exists to create a safer recreational boating experience for all who enjoy America’s oceans and waterways. The NSBC’s growing membership includes organizations, agencies, companies, instructors, and individuals with the common goal of enhancing the safety of recreational boating on a national level. This includes connecting with, listening to, and involving all who live, work, or play within the recreational boating community.

Submission Information

Please provide an estimate to Yvonne Pentz, communications director, National Safe Boating Council, ypentz@safeboatingcouncil.org by close of business on October 1, 2023. Any questions must be received by end of day on September 15, 2023 via email (phone calls will not be returned). 

Bid must include suggested markets, total potential impressions, cost, and placement. This may include print, digital, environmental (billboards, transit), radio, television, and other advertising strategies.

Assumptions and Agreements

The National Safe Boating Council reserves the right to dismiss a project bid for any reason.

Advertising Needs

The National Safe Boating Council would like to boaters via in markets where recreational boating is popular (please see top marketings for boating accidents and fatalities). The Council will provide any creative needed for placement.

  • Reach 1-2 markets with a single ad buy
  • Minimum 1 month buy

The ads placed will support NSBC programming, such as the International Boating and Water Safety Summit, Safe Boating Campaign, and Waves of Hope. Please see our program page for more information.
